In November 2016, we produced 800 HT250 gray iron centrifugal sleeves, delivered to USA.
1.There are two sizes of the batch :
OD165 x ID139 x 203;
OD215 x ID175 x 203.
We adopted centrifugal casting process to make the Sleeves .The thickness of this gray iron sleeve is thin, machining is not very easy, especially for large diameter cylinder tubes.We made efforts on special toolings to ensure the centrifugal cylinder liner wall thickness and the minimum deformation.
2.The batch of sleeves requires relatively high machining level.All the dimensional tolerances are controlled within ± 0.762mm, the surface finish to all reach Ra6.3.
3.During inspection process,we found the following problems:
3.1 The surface for some sleeves can not meet the finish Ra6.3 after machining.
3.2 There are some slight defects at the end of the sleeves.
We re-machined the defected sleeves and finally met the customer's quality requirements.
4.Due to the large number of the sleeves, we adopted high quality plywood cases,we put each sleeve into the grid to ensure that each cylinder would not be in the process of collision with each other during the sea transition.
