Superalloys are divided into three types of materials: 760 ° C high temperature materials, 1200 ° C high
temperature materials and 1500 ° C high temperature materials, tensile strength 800MPa. Or it refers to
high-temperature metal materials that work for a long time under 760--1500 °C and certain stress
conditions, with excellent high temperature strength, good resistance to oxidation and hot corrosion,
good fatigue properties, fracture toughness and other comprehensive properties. It has become an
irreplaceable key material for military and marine gas turbine engine hot end components.
According to the existing theory, 760 ° C high temperature materials can be mainly divided into iron-based
superalloys, nickel-based superalloys and cobalt-based superalloys according to matrix elements.
According to the preparation process, it can be divided into a deformed superalloy, a cast superalloy
and a powder metallurgy superalloy. According to the strengthening method, there are solid solution
strengthening type, precipitation strengthening type, oxide dispersion strengthening type, and fiber
strengthening type. Superalloys are mainly used to manufacture high temperature components such
as turbine blades, guide vanes, turbine disks, high pressure compressor disks and combustion chambers
for aerospace, naval and industrial gas turbines, as well as for aerospace vehicles, rocket engines,
nuclear reactors, petrochemical plants, and Energy conversion devices such as coal conversion.
1. Monel is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, maritime, oil, textile and paper industries.
2. It is highly resistant to (caustic) alcaline solution, sea water and diluted sulphuric acid.
3. Monel-K500 is often used when higher hardness and resistance are needed.
